What’s good in IT–and even better for Millennium
eWeek “Careers” blogger Don Sears wrote an interesting post last month about which sectors of the economy might experience growth in IT spending in the near future.
He quotes extensively from Computer Economics’ “2009/2010 IT Spending and Staffing Benchmarks.” While much of the news is discouraging, given the ailing economy, Sears notes that more than a quarter of surveyed CIOs envision increases in their IT spending.
What’s more, Computer Economics’John Longwell tells Sears that “the two sectors with the strongest hiring are health care and utilities/energy concerns.”
That’s especially good news for Millennium Consulting–as well as its clients and consultants–given that utilities and health care are two of the firm’s strongest verticals.
Check back with Millennium as our job board continues to heat up this summer.
