Desktop Support Manager

Our client in Eastern Massachusetts is seeking a Desktop Support Manager.
This position will:
- Manage/orchestrate the daily regional support (internal/external)
Collaborate with support supervisors to maintain operational consistency - Delegate/prioritize issues to ensure rapid and thorough responses
Monitor response time/effectiveness, gauge user satisfaction, identify areas for improvement
Remedy tech/business problems over multi-tech spheres for extending desktop tech organization-wide
Oversee:- prod mgt support structure dev/implementation
- Desktop/computing actions
- Lifecycle rollout
- Recovery
- Maintenance
- Enact and promote policies/standards
Fulfill myriad other duties
Requirements:
- 10+ years IT experience, including:
- Svc delivery
- Project leadership
- Demonstrated success developing reqs/meeting deadline & budget projections
Extensive desktop computer platform experience
Comprehensive managerial experience, focusing on: - Analytical ability
- Decision-making ability
- Organizing ability
- Vendor relations
- Tech mgt skills such as:
- Desktop o/s
- Hardware/software
Lifecycle implementation
- Numerous other skills
Educational Requirements:
- BA/BS in:
- Comp. Sci. or
- Similar discipline
- Relevant cert(s) pref.
